About Us

Off the Pipe was started in the Spring of 2011 by a small group of 6 college friends looking to discuss the upcoming NHL playoffs.  We used Facebook to share articles, news, updates, and scores with each other on the Nashville Predators. We then grew rapidly into the biggest Nashville Predators Fan Page on social media.

Our goal is to be the #1 place to get all of your Nashville Predators news.  We want to build an enviornment where a tight knit community of loyal Preds fans can talk, discuss, and support the team in a way that hasn’t exsisted before.

We are 100% funded by fan donations. So if you like what we do and want to help us out then simply hit the “Donate” button below or on the menu at the top of the page. The OtP team thanks you for your support!

Join the discussion! Get involved! GO PREDS!

Ed Neely is a retired US Army Intelligence Officer and has been a Preds fan since 2002.  He is married to an amazing woman who is a bigger Nashville Predators fan than he is.  He has five great kids, two of his blood and the others of his heart, and all but one are big Preds fans (the other doesn’t “sport”).  He helps to coach his youngest son’s hockey team by providing great comic relief on the ice.  He contributes to Off the Pipe through editing and will write articles from time to time.

Raised in Metro Atlanta, Georgia for most of his life, Jackson has always been a big sports fan. He attended several Thrasher games before their departure in 2011, and still to this day would not let go of the game of hockey. The Thrashers funeral is when he became a Nashville Predators fan. Smashville grabbed him by the neck of the shirt. Writing for a sports team has always been a dream of his. Jackson graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Kennesaw State University in December 2016, the focus being Journalism and Citizen Media.
